SYSLOG Monitor
Network Monitoring & Alerting
Proprietary SYSLOG monitoring software, battle-tested inside INIC's own NOC. Real-time log ingestion, intelligent alerting, and dashboards built for ISP and enterprise network operations teams.
About the Product
Managing a live ISP network means drowning in device logs from routers, switches, OLTs, and servers — all day, every day. General-purpose log aggregation tools like ELK or Graylog work, but they require significant setup effort and are not designed with ISP workflows in mind.
INIC's SYSLOG Monitor was built from scratch for our own NOC in Bhilai. It ingests syslog streams from every device in our network, applies pattern-based alert rules, and surfaces critical events to on-call engineers in real time via WhatsApp and email — without the noise of irrelevant log lines.
The tool has been in continuous production use inside INIC's network for several years. We are now offering it to other ISPs and enterprise network teams who need reliable, low-maintenance SYSLOG monitoring without a heavy DevOps overhead.
SYSLOG Monitor — live inside INIC's NOC
Features
Purpose-built for network operations teams.
Real-Time SYSLOG Ingestion
Ingest syslog streams from routers, switches, OLTs, and servers in real time. Handles high-volume environments without dropping messages.
Pattern-Based Alerting
Define alert rules using pattern matching on log messages. Get instant notifications via WhatsApp, email, or webhook when critical events occur.
NOC Dashboards
Live dashboards showing event counts, alert history, device status, and log volume — purpose-built for NOC operators, not general-purpose BI tools.
Device Grouping
Organise monitored devices by location, type, or customer. Set different alert thresholds and escalation rules per group.
Historical Log Search
Search and filter historical syslog data by device, severity, message content, or time range. Essential for post-incident analysis.
ISP-Native Design
Built for the specific device types and log formats common in ISP networks — Mikrotik, Cisco, Juniper, ZTE OLTs, and more — out of the box.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about INIC SYSLOG Monitor.
What protocols does INIC SYSLOG Monitor support?
INIC SYSLOG Monitor supports standard syslog over UDP (port 514) and TCP, and is compatible with syslog streams from MikroTik RouterOS, Cisco IOS, Juniper, ZTE OLTs, Linux servers, and most standard network devices.
Can it send WhatsApp alerts?
Yes. INIC SYSLOG Monitor integrates natively with INIC's WhatsApp API Server to dispatch real-time alerts to on-call engineers via WhatsApp — including device name, alert pattern, severity, and timestamp — without manual intervention.
How many devices can it monitor?
INIC SYSLOG Monitor is designed for ISP-scale deployments. In our own NOC, it monitors hundreds of devices across our Chhattisgarh, MP, and Delhi NCR network. Contact us to discuss capacity for your deployment.
Does it support SNMP traps?
The current version focuses on syslog ingestion and pattern-based alerting. SNMP trap ingestion is on the product roadmap. Contact us to discuss your specific monitoring requirements.
Is there a mobile dashboard?
The SYSLOG Monitor dashboard is web-based and fully responsive — accessible from any device including smartphones and tablets. There is no dedicated native mobile app, but the web interface works well on mobile browsers.
